MANSFIELD, Mass. – Junior
Dallas Vaughan (Haverhill, Mass.) of the Saint Anselm College baseball team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
The Hawks dropped three of four to Assumption University to wrap-up the regular season, posting an 11-35 overall record and a 7-17 mark in NE10 Northeast Division play.
Vaughan started game two of the four-game series in Worcester, Mass. and fanned 11 batters in the 2-1 win in game two of the May 5 doubleheader. The junior allowed just one unearned run on three hits in his fourth win and third complete effort of the 2023 season. Vaughan posted a k/9 ratio of 14.14 in the win.
The junior led Saint Anselm with 12 games started on the mound and was the team leader with 70.0 innings pitched in his first season on the Hilltop. Vaughan posted a 4-6 record with a 5.01 earned-run average, a 1.43 WHIP, and fanned a team-high 68 batters for the Hawks.
Vaughan is the first Saint Anselm student-athlete to collect the NE10 Pitcher of the Week honor since the 2021 season.
