Men's Soccer Ranked 10th in NE10 Preseason Coaches' Poll

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's soccer team is predicted to finish 10th in the 2023 Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches poll, released by the league on Tuesday.

The Hawks picked up 24 points edging out Saint Michael's College (19) by five points. Defending national champion Franklin Pierce is projected at the top of the standings after collecting 100 points and 10 of the 11 possible first-place votes. Southern New Hampshire University and Adelphi University each claimed 78 points to tie for second with Southern New Hampshire taking the lone first-place vote available in the poll.

The Hawks begin the 2023 campaign against Molloy University on Thursday, August 31 in Rockville Centre, New York. Saint Anselm welcomes St. Thomas Aquinas to the Hilltop for the home opener on Sunday, September 3. The Hawks open NE-10 play on September 16, heading to West Haven, Conn. for a match-up with New Haven, kicking off a stretch of six straight conference matchups.

Saint Anselm finished the 2022 season with a 7-9 overall record and posted a 4-7 mark in conference play. The 2022 season started with five straight wins including league wins over the University of New Haven and Southern New Hampshire University. The Hawks also picked up NE-10 victories against Saint Rose and American International College.
