Golf tied for eighth place through first day of Penmen Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. – Through the first day of competition, the Saint Anselm College golf team is tied for eighth place at the annual Penmen Fall Invitational, hosted at the Hanover Country Club by Southern New Hampshire University.

Day One Results

Stephen Hunt is tied for fourth place overall as an individual, carding a 68 through the first day of action. Nick Carter is tied for 19th place with 71 strokes while Max Ratner shot a 73 through the first 18 holes of the invitational. Billy Argus and Alec Brunelle each turned in scores of 77, tying for 60th place in the crowded field.

Post University currently leads the field with 276 strokes as a team, followed by second place Southern New Hampshire. Tyler Silver of Southern New Hampshire currently leads the field with a three-under 66.

The Hawks return to the Hanover Country Club on Tuesday, Sept. 19 to conclude the invitational.
