Sullivan, men's cross country compete at Smith Invitational

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Freshman Ryan Sullivan copped a 19th place finish for the Saint Anselm College men's cross country team Saturday morning at the Smith Co-Ed Cross Country Invitational.

The Hawks placed fourth out of seven teams, racking up 124 points to edge out three other institutions. Saint Anselm heads to Kutztown, Pa. this Saturday, Sept. 16 for the NCAA Division II/III Challenge, hosted by Kutztown University, starting at 10 a.m.

Sullivan posted a time of 17:14.18 on the 5K course, finishing seven places ahead of classmate Jordan Cook (17:45.16). Hugh Cameron turned in a time of 18:40.08 while Ben Sweesy, Trent Briggs and Tim Holmes finished in 52nd, 53rd and 54th, respectively.

Timothy Stap rounded out the field of Hawks runners, completing the course in 20:29.40.
