Women’s Ice Hockey’s Winters Tabbed as ECAC East Player of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Junior Courtney Winters (Swampscott, Mass.) collected ECAC East Player of the Week honors the conference announced Tuesday morning, for the period ending Nov. 25.

Winters notched three points in the Hawks' only game of the week as they took down the Ravens of Franklin Pierce, 4-2, on Nov. 19. Winters served as the catalyst for the Saint Anselm offense as she scored the first two goals of the game to give the Hawks a generous 2-0 lead. She also added an assist on the third goal of the contest, to put Saint Anselm up 3-0.

Winters and the rest of the Hawks return to action Nov. 30 when they play host to New England College in a 7 p.m. puck drop at Thomas F. Sullivan Arena.
