Andrea Foss '14 completed her first season on the coaching staff of the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey program in 2016-17.
In her first season back on the Hilltop, Foss helped direct Saint Anselm to New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) regular-season and NEHC Open titles as part of a 22-2-3 campaign. The regular-season title was the first for the Hawks in eight seasons while the NEHC Open championship was the program's seventh, the most of any program in the league.
Foss returned to the Hilltop as a coach after graduating from Saint Anselm in 2014 with a degree in natural science and minors in sport studies and math. She played four years of hockey for the Hawks, registering 20 goals and 35 assists for 55 points in 99 games.
In her playing career, Foss was part of three-straight ECAC East championship teams from 2011-14. In her senior season, she was an Honorable Mention All-ECAC selection after leading the team's defensemen with 15 points. Foss also earned the Tom Bullock Award for the team's hardest worker that season.
After graduating, the Elko, Minn. native served as a U16 assistant coach for the North American Hockey Academy (NAHA) and helped lead the team to a 2014-15 Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL) championship.
