Women’s Soccer Trio Earns NE-10 All-Conference Honors

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Senior Siobhan Flaherty (Braintree, Mass.), freshman Kendra Bonczar (Milford, N.H.) and classmate Cassie Quattropani (East Hartford, Conn.) were all 2013 Northeast-10 All-Conference selections, the conference announced Thursday afternoon.

Flaherty was named to the 2013 Northeast-10 Women's Soccer Third Team, while Quattropani was a 2013 Northeast-10 Women's Soccer All-Rookie Team selection. Bonczar garnered Third Team and All-Rookie Team honors.

Flaherty started all 18 contests this season for the Hawks, scoring two goals and adding three assists for seven points. She scored the game-winning goal against Merrimack on Oct. 8 and scored the Hawks' only goal of the game in the quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Championship against Adelphi on Nov. 5.

Quattropani played in 16 games for the Hawks this season, starting 10 of them. She logged 1032:38 in net, earning a 0.87 goals-against average and a .855 save percentage. Her 10 allowed goals this season places her fourth amongst all conference goalkeepers in the NE-10. She ranks fifth in the league in GAA and has made 59 saves on the season. She was named NE-10 Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week on Oct. 28.

Bonczar saw action in all 18 games this season, earning four starts. She tallied a team-high seven goals for 14 points. She has scored the game-winning goal on four different occasions, including 1-0 wins over Saint Michael's, Southern New Hampshire and Stonehill. Additionally, she was responsible for the score that lifted Saint Anselm to a 2-1 victory over Le Moyne on Senior Day. She was feted as NE-10 Rookie of the Week on Nov. 4.
