Women’s Tennis Drops Opener to Southern New Hampshire, 8-1

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Freshman Courtney Russell (North Reading, Mass.) won her singles match, but the Saint Anselm College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision against Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday at the Saint Anselm Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Hawks open their season at 0-1, both on the year and in Northeast-10 play, while the Penmen begin their campaign at 1-0, 1-0 NE-10.

Russell posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory against Allison Valentine in No. 6 singles.
