Women’s Tennis Defeated 7-2 at Adelphi

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Senior Christine Woods (Wilmington, Mass.) won a pair of matches, but the Saint Anselm College women's tennis team fell at Adelphi University, 7-2, on Saturday.

The Hawks drop to 0-5 on the season and in the conference, while the Panthers improve to 4-4, 3-0 NE-10.           

Woods captured an 8-5 victory against Bianca Bernal in No. 6 singles action and then teamed with classmate Katherine Morrissey (Sturbridge, Mass.) to defeat Bernal and Taylor King, 8-3, in No. 3 doubles.

The Hawks return to action Saturday, March 22 at 11 a.m. when they take on American International College.
