Volleyball Toppled by Bentley in Four Sets

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Freshman Catherine Morgan (Farmington Hills, Mich.) tallied a match-high 18 kills along with 14 digs as the Saint Anselm College volleyball team fell to Bentley University, 3-1, Tuesday evening at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.

Set scores of the evening were 13-25, 27-29, 25-23 and 16-25.

With the loss, Saint Anselm will drop to 7-17 overall and 2-9 in the Northeast-10 conference, while the Falcons improve to a 14-8 record with an 8-2 stance in the league.

Morgan's performance was the best of her career with a career-high in kills and digs, all while recording her second double-double of the season. Senior Vivian Fitzgerald (Winfield, Ill.) also reached double figures in kills with 10. Senior Kyla Gustavson (Nashua, N.H.) chipped in six kills and was a mainstay on the defense with a team-high 24 digs.

Also contributing defensively was freshman CC Chrisom (Dover, N.H.), who logged a career-best 21 digs and junior Holland McNabb (Huntington Beach, Calif.), who added nine digs of her own.

Junior Natalie Steinwart (Aurora, Ill.) also submitted a double-double with 42 assists and 11 digs. Freshman Brennah Gladwill (Citrus Heights, Calif.) added five each of kills and digs.
