Kelly Fox Joins Cross Country Staff as Assistant Coach
MANCHESTER, N.H. – Saint Anselm College men's and women's cross country head coach Paul Finn announced recently that Kelly Fox has joined the program and will begin working with the teams as an assistant coach.
"With Coach Fox joining Saint Anselm College cross country, we are adding the depth and experience necessary to take a strong team to the next level," Finn said.
Fox, who was named the Class L (Division I) Coach of the Year in 2009 by the New Hampshire Union Leader, was the head coach of both the cross country and track & field teams at Central High School in Manchester for 10 years. Her cross country squad captured three straight state titles (2008-10), while her track & field team won back-to-back championships (2009-10) during her time at Central. Fox has also served as the site director for the NHIAA Division I, II and III cross country meets since 2007.
"Since leaving high school coaching, I have been looking to become involved at the collegiate level," Fox said. "I am so thankful to be a part of the Saint Anselm coaching staff and very excited to work with the athletes."
Fox attended the University of New Hampshire on a full running scholarship and was a record holder in track, in addition to receiving All-New England and All-Conference accolades. She qualified for a number of ECAC Championships and finished in the top six in track.
A native of Londonderry, N.H., Fox resides in Hooksett, N.H., with her husband, Brian, and their two-year old daughter, Katelynne.
