AMHERST, N.Y. – Senior Shannon Conley of the Saint Anselm College women's cross country team earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region honors by finishing 14th overall at Saturday's NCAA Division II East Region Cross Country Championships.
Conley's 6K time of 23:33.6 ranked her 14th in a crowded field of 173 runners at the Audubon Golf Course. Outside of a potential at-large bid to the NCAA Division II nationals, Conley concludes a four-year career with four All-Region selections, finishing 22nd at regionals in 2014, 21st in 2015 and 14th last season in 2016.
Junior Liberty Gendron crossed the line in 54th place, registering a time of 25:01.3. Seniors Sarah Panteleos and Kelsie Nern conclude their Hawks careers with times of 26:02.9 and 26:45.6, respectively, with freshman Gabrielle Dionne navigating the course in 27:06.9.
The Hawks end their season with their best finish at the regionals since a 14th place team finish in 2015.
