Athletics announces #HawksSoarHigher Club fundraising initiative

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Saint Anselm College has announced a new annual giving initiative for the Department of Athletics, the #HawksSoarHigher Club. Funds raised will directly benefit Hawks student-athletes across all 17 varsity sports teams on the Hilltop.

As a contributing member of the #HawksSoarHigher Club, a gift of any size directly impacts more than 400 student-athletes at Saint Anselm in their pursuit of athletic and academic excellence. Gifts may be designated to the general athletics fund or any of the College’s 18 varsity sports and 100 percent of the funds will be directly earmarked to benefit the student-athletes of that program.

“An investment in our student-athletes helps solidify their experience at Saint Anselm College. Our student-athletes work hard each day to distinguish themselves through personal development, academic achievement and a championship culture,” remarked Director of Athletics Daron Montgomery.

"Support from family members, friends, faculty/staff and alumni plays a critical role in bolstering our commitment to provide a transformational experience," said Montgomery. "Funds raised through this new outreach will allow us to further enhance the services and facilities offered to Hawks student-athletes.”

Saint Anselm student-athletes were part of a record-setting and historic year for the Athletics program as the Hawks athletic teams posted their highest finish in the NE10 Presidents’ Cup standings in more than a decade and won the Queen City Cup versus cross-town rival Southern New Hampshire. Leading the way was the 2018 softball squad who won the NCAA Division II East Regional title and ultimately played for Saint Anselm’s first-ever national championship.

A special Young Anselmian Program has also been announced for recent Saint Anselm graduates. Those who have crossed the stage in the previous three years are eligible for the benefits of any #HawksSoarHigher Club package at a 50% discount, enabling newer alumni to get involved soon after their time on the Hilltop.

Those interested in supporting one or more of the Hawks teams can visit to make their gift online or fill out the Reply Card. All gifts to the College are tax deductible within Internal Revenue Service guidelines.
