Danny Gay is in his sixth year as an assistant athletic trainer at Saint Anselm in 2018-19 and currently serves as the head football athletic trainer. He joined the Saint Anselm sports medicine staff in August of 2013.
Gay assists in the daily operations of the athletic training room, including the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for the football, volleyball, women's basketball and baseball teams. Gay previously served Saint Anselm as a sports medicine intern in 2008 and a per diem athletic trainer during the 2012-13 season.
Gay is board certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and has his Athletic Training License in New Hampshire.
Gay graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2008 with a B.S. in exercise and sports science, a concentration in athletic training and a minor in psychology. At Colby-Sawyer, he was a member of the track & field team.
He is currently pursuing a MBA in athletic administration from Southern New Hampshire University and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the College Athletic Trainers' Association, and is an American Red Cross Healthcare Providers First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor.
Gay currently lives in Exeter, N.H. with his wife, Ro, and their son, Clifton, born November, 2017.
