Rob Herrick is in his sixth season at Saint Anselm since joining the athletic department as its first full-time strength & conditioning coach in November 2014.
It is the second stint at Saint Anselm for Herrick, who served as the Saint Anselm football program's volunteer strength and conditioning coach during the 2013 season.
After departing Saint Anselm, Herrick spent the 2014 season as the strength and conditioning coach for the Cincinnati Reds' High-A Affiliate, the Bakersfield Blaze.
Prior to his time with Saint Anselm, Herrick conducted an internship at Dartmouth College, where his primary work was with the football program. He also assisted with the strength and conditioning programs of men's and women's basketball, men's lacrosse, skiing, and men's soccer.
Herrick began his strength and conditioning career in 2011 as an intern at his alma mater, the United States Naval Academy. Herrick instructed weightlifting and physical education classes for prospective military officers, designed and implemented training programs for sailing and assisted with football, baseball, crew, wresting and women's basketball.
A 2006 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in political science while also pitching on the baseball team, Herrick served on active duty in the United States Navy for over six years as a surface warfare officer and was recently activated for a year-long deployment from March 2018 through March 2019.
Herrick also possesses a Master's of Sports Science (M.S.S.) Degree in sports fitness and health from the United States Sports Academy. His certifications include Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), under the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sport Performance Coach.
Herrick resides in Bedford with his wife, Catherine, and their two children, Lillian (3) and Gregory (1).
