Tom Bellen is in his first season as a member of the Saint Anselm College men's soccer program's coaching staff in 2017-18.
Bellen is also the owner of FutsalNH, which strives to develop the game of Futsal in New Hampshire. Futsal is a variant of soccer played primarily indoors on a hard court by teams of five with a smaller ball. As the owner of FustalNH, Bellen introduced the game of futsal to New Hampshire and has built the largest program in the area with nationally-successful teams and players. Over 20 of Bellen's players have made the United States Youth Futsal national teams, which he has helped coach since 2013.
He also has two decades of experience coaching soccer, serving as a trainer/coach for Nashua World Cup Soccer Club since 1997. In addition, Bellen coached at Souhegan High School from 1994-2012 and is in his fifth season with the Nashua South girls team in 2017. In these roles, he has been part of multiple state high school and club championships.
Bellen graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1992 after seeing his playing career with the Wildcats cut short after tearing his ACL in preseason as a freshman.
He holds a United Soccer Coaches National Diploma (USSF "C" license) and is actively working on his Advanced National Diploma.
Bellen currently resides in New Boston, N.H. with his wife, Jennifer, and daughter, Cameron.
