MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Anselm College athletic department's strength & conditioning center started receiving a large facelift Sept. 8.
The strength & conditioning center, which is used by all 450-plus Saint Anselm intercollegiate student-athletes, will be closed from Sept. 8-18. When it re-opens Sept. 19, however, users will notice a transformed space that includes a brand new floor, new Saint Anselm-branded platforms, a fresh coat of paint and a re-configuration of the layout of machines and free weights.

Monday, Sept. 8 - Machines and weights are moved to one side of the room, platforms are removed and pins holding machines in place are cut from the floor
Tuesday, Sept. 9 - Old floor is removed and the entire room is painted
Wednesday, Sept. 10 - Damaged walls where mirrors were are repaired, final touches of paint are put on the walls and new flooring is delivered
Thursday & Friday, Sept. 11 & 12 - Old linoleum subfloor is removed
Monday, Sept. 15 - Custom wood platforms begin to be installed
Tuesday, Sept. 16 - Custom wood platforms continue to be installed - two more to go and then the new floor starts being laid down
Wednesday, Sept. 17 - Install of custom wood platforms is finished. New rubber floor starts being laid down
Thursday, Sept. 18 - Install of rubber floor continues and is nearly completed
Friday, Sept. 19 - Install of rubber floor, as well as rubber "drop zone," is completed and weights and machines are moved into their new spots
