  • D2ADA Honors 19 Saint Anselm Student-Athletes with Academic Awards

    CLEVELAND – The Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) announced Friday that 19 Saint Anselm College student-athletes were the 2013-14 recipients of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards. The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division 2 level.

    SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – One-hundred fifty-one Saint Anselm College student-athletes, representing each of the school's 17 intercollegiate athletics programs that compete in the conference, were named to the Spring 2014 Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes at each of the conference's 15 institutions for their success in the classroom.

The second game was postponed due to inclement weather and declining field conditions.

    ALBANY, N.Y. – Sophomore Tom Hudon (Merrimack, N.H.) went the distance in game one to anchor a pitching staff that allowed just three earned runs all day as the Saint Anselm College baseball team won a pair of tilts against the College of Saint Rose on Thursday afternoon at Bob Bellizzi Field. The Hawks pulled out a 4-3 win in the first game before posting a 4-1 victory in game two.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Kyle Grumoli (So. Hadley, Mass.) knocked in a pair of runs in game one and junior Dave Kent (N. Falmouth, Mass.) did not allow an earned run over seven innings of game two, but the Saint Anselm College baseball team dropped a Saturday doubleheader to Southern Connecticut State University at the Ballpark at SCSU. Southern Connecticut earned a 6-3 win in game one and pulled out a 4-3 victory in 11 innings in the second game.
