DANBURY, Conn. – Junior Tom Hudon (Merrimack, N.H.) of the Saint Anselm College baseball team was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Pitcher of the Week for the period ending March 29, the conference office announced Tuesday evening.
Hudon, who captured Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week recognition Monday, pitched the Hawks past Saint Michael's College, 1-0, in their only game of the week last Wednesday. Hudon tossed a three-hit, complete-game shutout as he struck out a career-best 12 batters and walked just one. Hudon (1-3) set the Purple Knights down in order four times over the 9.0 frames, including in the ninth inning.
Hudon is 1-2 with a save and a 2.70 ERA over his last four outings this season.
The Hawks return to action Thursday, April 2 (10 a.m./1 p.m.) when they take on Assumption College in doubleheader action at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, Mass.
