Football Garners Coach, Team and Game of the Year from D2Football.com

MANCHESTER, N.H. – D2Football.com Northeast-10 blogger Paul Falewicz recognized the Saint Anselm College football team with Coach of the Year, Team of the Year and Game of the Year honors, recently.

Seventh-year head coach Patrick Murphy was selected as the Coach of the Year after guiding the Hawks, the Team of the Year, to a five-game turnaround that produced the first winning season in 14 years. Saint Anselm's six wins matched the program record from that same 2000 campaign and equaled the total victories from the previous four years combined.

Saint Anselm's 37-34 heart-stopping victory at the University of New Haven on Nov. 8 was chosen as the Game of the Year. The Hawks scored two of the three touchdowns over the final 2:05 of the contest, including a 48-yard pass as time expired, to earn the win.
