MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Daniel Parisi (Georgetown, Mass.) of the Saint Anselm College football team booted his fifth field goal of the season for the Hawks in Friday night's 66-3 loss to the host Greyhounds from Assumption College.

Saint Anselm falls to 0-2 on the season in both overall and Northeast-10 Conference play. Assumption, who reached the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals in 2017, moves to 2-1 while remaining undefeated in NE10 play through two contests.

Down by a 14-0 margin through the game's first 5:55, a 19-yard field goal make by Parisi capped a 10-play, 52-yard drive to place the Hawks on the scoreboard. Senior Kyle Hill (Upper Marlboro, Md.) helped prolong the scoring drive for Saint Anselm with a 22-yard reception to move the chains and inch the Hawks closer to the end zone.

Saint Anselm began the game strong, posting three first downs before an interception by senior quarterback Eric Fairweather (Londonderry, N.H.) set Assumption up for their first score of the game, a six-yard rush by Cody Williams. On the Greyhounds next offensive possession, Deonte Harris scored the first of his two touchdowns on the day to create the aforementioned 14-0 lead.

After the Parisi field goal, Assumption assumed control of the game, finishing with 525 total yards of offense, including a balanced 260 through the air and 265 on the ground. A total of five interceptions for the Greyhounds set up numerous scoring drives in the game, foiling the modest gains the Hawks made in terms of total yards (326).

Hill finished with 10 catches for 88 yards in the loss. Fairweather completed 30 passes for the second-straight game but threw four interceptions, finishing with 219 aerial yards. Junior Brendan McInnis (Windham, N.H.) relieved Fairweather in the fourth quarter and finish 6-for-10 with one interception.

Four student-athletes contributed a team-leading six tackles for the Hawks, including CJ Miller (Clinton, Md.), Kimothy Bynum (Accokeek, Md.), Ryan Sullivan (Stoughton, Mass.) and team captain Zack Mercer (Melrose, Mass.). Miller added his team's lone sack while Mercer led the way with one-and-a-half tackles for a loss of four yards.

Joseph Kellum had 15 carries for 128 yards for Assumption, scoring two touchdowns, with Khaleed Exum-Strong, Doug Santos and Williams adding rushing scores for the Greyhounds. Harris caught two passes for touchdowns on the day with Kyle Sonnie also adding a touchdown reception for Assumption.

Saint Anselm welcomes American International College to the Hilltop on Saturday, Sept. 22 for a 2 p.m. game on Homecoming Weekend. The Hawks will look to avenge last season's 19-0 shutout to the Yellow Jackets in Springfield.
