Scott to assist Saint Anselm field hockey

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Head Coach Carolyn King-Robitaille of the Saint Anselm College field hockey program has announced the hire of Alyssa Scott, a native of nearby Bedford, N.H., as the program's Assistant Coach. Scott began her tenure in early June.

"I am thrilled to be starting my collegiate coaching career with the Hawks," said Scott, who comes to the Hilltop after a successful career as a student-athlete at Southern New Hampshire University. "I've known Coach King-Robitaille since I was in high school and have admired her coaching style and the success that the Hawks have had."

A four-year member of the Penmen field hockey program, Scott has also served as an assistant coach with Granite State Elite, Cave Girl Field Hockey and the USA Field Hockey Futures program.

"I am thrilled to have Alyssa joining our staff this year," remarked King-Robitalle. "She knows what it takes to be successful in the Northeast-10 Conference. A team captain during her collegiate career, her leadership skills and professionalism will be invaluable to us. I look forward to working alongside her to help the Hawks be their best, not only this year but into the future."

Scott owns a Level I and Level II coaching certification from USA Field Hockey and worked as a summer strength and conditioning intern at Dynamic Strength and Conditioning in Nashua, N.H.

On the field, Scott made 55 appearances for Southern New Hampshire and served as a team captain during her final three seasons with the Hawks' cross-town rivals. In 2018, Scott rebounded from an injury during her junior campaign and helped the Penmen set the team record for victories while qualifying for the squad's first-ever Northeast-10 Conference postseason tournament.

In the classroom, Scott earned placement on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire with a bachelor's degree in Justice Studies and a minor in Business Administration.
