Men's golf completes fall slate at NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's golf team recorded a fourth place finish at the 83rd annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Division II Championship on Sunday and Monday.


Competing at the Captain's Golf Course, the Hawks rebounded from a first day score of 307 to record a combined score of 610, 34-over par, to place fourth in the seven-team field.

Junior Stephen Hunt, senior Tad Link and freshman Alec Brunelle tied for 11th place overall, each shooting an eight-over 152. Hunt carded a 74 on the second day of action while Link led the Hawks with a 73 on Monday. Brunelle started his round strong, shooting a 74 before finishing with a 78 on the final day.

Senior Nick Carter tied for 17th place, shooting a 154, while junior Billy Argus rounded out the field with a 158 to place in a tie for 22nd.

Saint Anselm concluded its fall schedule on Monday. The Hawks will play a limited spring schedule in 2018.
