GRASONVILLE, Md. – Senior Tad Link of the Saint Anselm College men's golf team posted a team-leading 78 through the first round of action at the Towson Spring Invitational on Saturday.
The Hawks are 16th in the competitive 17-team field, carding a combined 335 (+47) while competing against numerous NCAA Division I programs at the Prospect Bay Country Club. Saint Anselm will conclude play at the two-day tournament on Sunday.
Link is tied for 30th place among the field of 90 golfers. Junior Stephen Hunt turned in a first round score of 85 while senior Robbie Cole and freshman Alec Brunelle each turned in a score of 86. Senior Joe Brunelle was fifth on the Hawks, registering a score of 86.
Central Connecticut State University leads the field with a combined 297 (+9) and the entire field is led by CCSU's Arthur Ouimet – he is shooting a three-under 69.
