SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Saint Anselm College men's golf team completed play at the Mike Bello Invitational in eighth place out of 15 competing teams in central New York on Friday.
The Hawks turned in a score of 315 on the second day of competition, finishing the two-day tournament with a combined 635 (+67).
Senior Joe Brunelle led Saint Anselm on the second day by shooting a 77 to finish with a 160 (+17) to place 39th in the field. Freshman Alec Brunelle shot under 80 with an eight-over 79 to finish the tournament in 43rd place. Junior Stephen Hunt matched Brunelle with a 79 on Friday, finishing 13 strokes over par.
Southern New Hampshire's Matt Paradis won the individual portion of the tournament with a one-over 143. Roberts Wesleyan won the team championship with a combined 598 (+30).
The Hawks will conclude play on Thursday, Apr. 19 at the three-day SNHU Penmen Invitational at nearby Derryfield Country Club.
