Henry makes collegiate debut, leading Hawks at Penmen Fall Invite

HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman James Henry (Reading, Mass.) of the Saint Anselm College men's golf team exited the first day of action at the Penmen Fall Invitational in sixth place out of 76 golfers on Monday.

As a team, the Hawks finished the day in 11th place out of 13 teams, carding a combined team score of 304 (+24). The Hawks will return to the Hanover Country Club on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. for the final day of competition.

Henry shot a one-over 71 in his first collegiate action for the Hawks, tying for sixth place in the crowded field. Senior Billy Argus (Canton, Mass.) was the second-best finisher for Saint Anselm with a plus-six 76 while freshman Will Strauss (Duxbury, Mass.) carded a first-round 78.

Sophomore Max Ratner (Southborough, Mass.) and senior Stephen Hunt (Wilbraham, Mass.) rounded out the field for the Hawks, shooting a 79 and 80, respectively.

Monday's opening round was the first action of the 2018-19 season for Ratner, Henry and Strauss.
