ENDICOTT, N.Y. – Senior Billy Argus (Canton, Mass.) of the Saint Anselm College men's golf team finished in 12th place out of 50 golfers at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, held at the En-Joie Golf Club in central New York this past Sunday and Monday.
The Hawks posted a two-day total of 612, 36-over par, to place seventh out of 10 programs.
Argus recorded 26 pars through the 36-hole championship, placing third in the crowded field. After a first-round score of 73, Argus posted a 75 on the second day and added his second birdie of the tournament on the 17th hole.
Sophomore Alec Brunelle (Salem, N.H.) had an outstanding second day, shooting 72 and finishing with back-to-back birdies on holes 17 and 18. He finished plus-six for the tournament, moving up 14 places to finish in 18th place in the field.
Senior Stephen Hunt (Wilbraham, Mass.) finished nine-over par, posting two birdies on the second day of action to card a 153. Freshmen James Henry (Reading, Mass.) and Eddie Morin (East Longmeadow, Mass.) finished in 46th and 48th place, respectively, with Henry improving his second round total by two strokes from the day before.
