GRASONVILLE, Md. – The Saint Anselm College men's golf team wrapped up the two-day Towson Spring Invitational on Sunday, finishing in 17th place at the Prospect Bay Country Club.
The Hawks carded a second-day total of 315, finishing with a two-day figure of 644 (+38). Saint Anselm heads to Syracuse, N.Y. on Thursday, Apr. 11 to compete in the Mike Bello Invitational.
Senior Billy Argus (Canton, Mass.), led the Hawks with a seven-over 79 on Saturday, shot a three-over 75 to capture 40th place in the crowded field. Classmate Stephen Hunt (Wilbraham, Mass.) carded a 77 on the second day of competition, finishing strong with three birdies across his final nine holes.
Freshman James Henry (Reading, Mass.) turned in a two-day score of 164 (83-81) with classmate Peter Hudner (Canton, Mass.) posting an 87 on Sunday. Sophomore Alec Brunelle (Salem, N.H.) rebounded from a first-round 94 with an 82 on the final day.
