Men's golf concludes play at Mike Bello Invite

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Saint Anselm College men's golf team carded a second-day 329 on the way to an 11th place finish at the Mike Bello Invitational on Friday.

Final Results

The Hawks shot 317 on the first day of competition and finished with a plus-78 on the two-day tournament. Saint Anselm will conclude its season at the two-day Penmen Spring Invitational on Friday, Apr. 19 at the Beaver Meadow Golf Club in Concord, N.H.

Senior Billy Argus (Canton, Mass.) led the Hawks with a second day score of 82, finishing in a tie for 34th place with classmate Stephen Hunt (Wilbraham, Mass.) who posted an 84 on Friday. Sophomore Alec Brunelle (Salem, N.H.) shot a final round score of 79, besting his first round score of 82, to finish in 45th place.

Senior Jack Dowding (Wilbraham, Mass.) finished with a two-day score of 167 and freshman Will Strauss (Duxbury, Mass.) rebounded from a first-round tally of 97 to post an 87 to finish out the tournament.

Laval University topped the field of 12 teams, leading the way with tournament champion Arthur Heinkele and his plus-four 146.
