Estee, Jenkins, Daniels, Joyce Take Home All-NE-10 Men's Hockey Honors

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Four Saint Anselm College men's hockey players earned All-Northeast-10 Conference honors, the league announced Friday. Junior Tyler Estee (Bow, N.H.) was named the NE-10 Defender of the Year en route to a berth on the All-NE-10 First Team, while senior Sean Jenkins (Boston, Mass.), senior Johnny Daniels (Andover, Mass.) and freshman Shane Joyce (Pembroke, Mass.) were named to the All-NE-10 Second Team. Joyce was also named to the NE-10 All-Rookie Team as a unanimous selection.

Estee appeared in all 25 games as a junior defenseman for the Hawks and led all Saint Anselm defensemen in scoring with three goals and five assists for eight season points. The junior also headlined a defensive core that led the Northeast-10 with a .859 penalty kill percentage.

Jenkins and Daniels were two of the top three scorers on the Saint Anselm squad this season, recording 20 and 15 points, respectively. Jenkins played in all 25 games in his senior year and his 13 assists were a team-high and ranked sixth in the league. Daniels, named to his second straight All-NE-10 Second Team, scored two power play goals on the year and his 0.79 points per game average ranked 12th among NE-10 individual scorers.

Joyce finished second in the league with a 1.95 goals-against average in NE-10 games while recording a .919 save percentage against conference foes. He started all five games in league play and 21 games overall, amassing a 9-9-3 record overall—one of only two goaltenders in the league to record at least a .500 overall win percentage.

The Hawks compiled a season record of 9-13-3 overall and 2-1-2 in the Northeast-10, posting a third place finish in the league standings.

Saint Anselm will open its Northeast-10 Conference Championship tournament Saturday, traveling to Stonehill for a 1:50 p.m. matchup for a semifinal game at Foxboro Sports Center. The winner will advance to play the winner of top-seeded Saint Michael's and fourth-seeded Assumption on Feb. 28.
