MANSFIELD, Mass. – Following a seven-point weekend, freshman forward Alec Andreucci of the Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team was selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Andreucci started his offensive outburst with a goal and three assists in a 7-0 victory over Franklin Pierce on Friday at Sullivan Arena, with the four points serving as the most in his young career. The freshman followed that up by having a hand in all three of his team's goals in a 3-3 tie at Southern Maine the next day, as Andreucci recorded two goals and one assist against the Huskies.
With five goals and six assists through 11 games, Andreucci currently leads all NE10 freshmen in points this season with 11, five more than any other league rookie. He also ranks fifth overall in the NE10 in points, tied for sixth in goals and tied for third in assists.
Andreucci and the Hawks are next in action on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Plymouth State at 6 p.m.
