All four honorees earned the first all-conference accolades of their careers, led by Soucy being named the NE10 Goaltender of the Year and Andreucci being chosen as the NE10 Rookie of the Year. In the 17th year of the awards, Soucy became Saint Anselm's 10th Goaltender of the Year and Andreucci became the program's sixth Rookie of the Year. Saint Anselm's three first-team picks (Soucy, Ferraro and Gorski) were the most of any team in the league.
Soucy was tabbed the NE10's top goaltender after going 7-4-1 in 12 starts with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. The junior has nine 25-plus save performances this season and has posted a pair of shutouts, while ranking third in the NE10 in goals-against average. Soucy enters the postseason with wins in his last five starts and has allowed more than two goals just once in his last seven appearances dating back to Jan. 20.
Andreucci was named Saint Anselm's second-straight NE10 Rookie of the Year (Trey Aiello - 2016-17) earned the honor last season and also landed a spot on the All-Rookie Team. The rookie leads the Hawks with 24 points on nine goals and 15 assists, including four games with at least three points. His 24 points are the most by a Saint Anselm rookie since Johnny Daniels had 28 in 2011-12. A three-time NE10 Rookie of the Week, Andreucci ranks sixth overall in the NE10 in points and has twice as many as the next-highest rookie.
Ferraro's breakout sophomore season led to First Team All-NE10 honors. The sophomore ranks third in the conference with 15 goals this season, is tied for the NE10 lead with four game-winning goals and is one of just six NE10 skaters to record a hat trick in 2017-18. Ferraro's 15 goals are the most by a Saint Anselm skater since 2012-13 and include five multi-goal games.
Gorski finished among the NE10's top-scoring defensemen in his senior campaign, ranking tied for fifth in the league with 12 points on two goals and 12 assists in just 19 games. In addition to his offensive output, the co-captain helped Saint Anselm compile the NE10's top scoring defense, holding opponents to an average of 2.31 goals per game. Gorski has committed just one minor penalty in his 19 appearances this season.
After winning the 13th NE10 regular-season title in program history, top-seeded Saint Anselm hosts fourth-seeded Southern New Hampshire in the NE10 Championship semifinals at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24.
