Moors earns NE10 Player of the Week honors

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey sophomore Shawn Moors (Pointe Claire, Quebec) was named Northeast-10 Conference (NE10) Player of the Week, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Moors helped the Hawks go 1-0-0 this weekend, as Saint Anselm picked up a 5-4 overtime win at Saint Michael's College on Friday, Nov. 2. Moors had a three-point weekend, scoring his first and second career collegiate goals while adding an assist in the victory. Moors first goal gave the Hawks a 2-1 lead midway through the second period, before assisting on Saint Anselm's fourth goal at 18:37 of the second. He scored the game-winner with just 2:02 gone in the overtime period, sending the Hawks to victory.

In his career, Moors has played in 23 games for the Hawks and has eight points (2-6=8).

Moors and the rest of the Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team travel to Rindge, N.H. to take on Franklin Pierce University Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
