Richard picks up NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week honors

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Junior backstop Nick Richard of the nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team was named Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday.

Richard posted back-to-back victories and recorded an .821 save percentage last week for the Hawks, who defeated Saint Michael's on Tuesday and Assumption on Saturday. Saint Anselm, ranked 16th in NCAA Division II by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, has won six-straight games heading into Saturday's regular-season finale at Saint Rose.

Versus the Purple Knights, Richard made a career-high 15 saves on 19 shots, yielding only four goals throughout the 60-minute affair. The junior allowed only one goal through 45 minutes against Assumption on Saturday, making eight saves before exiting the game.

On Tuesday against No. 14-ranked LIU Post, Richard continued his outstanding play by making nine saves on 16 shots to earn his ninth win of the year in goal for the Hawks.
