Men's tennis downed by Findlay, 7-0

SANFORD, Fla. – The Saint Anselm College men's tennis team began its spring break trip with a 7-0 setback to the University of Findlay on Tuesday afternoon at Silver Lake Park.

The Hawks fall to 0-10 on the year while the Oilers improve to 5-2. Saint Anselm continues its Florida trip with a contest on Wednesday, Mar. 6 in Orlando, Fla. against NCAA Division III Muhlenberg.

Senior Daniel Kmetz (Amston, Conn.) and freshman Michael Rosen (Andover, Mass.) battled in a tough doubles contest at the No. 2 flight against Carlos Blanco and Nicholas Kopylec, falling by a 6-4 score.

Rosen went head-to-head in the No. 2 singles match against Blanco, taking three games in the first set and two in the second. Sophomore transfer Sam Kluger (Nashua, N.H.) won two games in the first set during a 6-2, 6-0 loss to Eduardo Munoz at No. 3 singles. Kmetz was swept in the first set at No. 4 singles but rebounded in the second set, falling 6-2.
