Men's Cross Country Finishes 23rd at NCAA East Regional

NASHUA, N.H. - Freshman Kevin Morse (South Windsor, Conn.) placed 79th overall as the Saint Anselm College men's cross country team finished 23rd at the 27-team NCAA East Regional hosted by the University of Massachusetts Lowell on Sunday afternoon at Mines Falls Park in Nashua, N.H.

The Hawks totaled 632 points, while American International College won the meet with 48 points.
Morse finished the 10K run in a time of 33 minutes, 11.8 seconds.
Sophomore Matthew Gonnella (Syracuse, N.Y.) crossed the finish line in 109th at 34:20.2.
Classmate Christopher Parent (Bangor, Maine) and junior Sean Connolly (Cumberland, R.I.) placed 141st and 145th, respectively, in times of 35:54.2 and 36:13.2.
Sophomore Brendan McCormick (West Hartford, Conn.) rounded out the Saint Anselm scorers by finishing 158th in the 188-runner field in a time of 36:58.1.
Freshmen Brian Higgins (Cheshire, Conn.) and Charles Dooley (Pittsfield, Mass.) finished 160th and 173rd, respectively, in times of 36:58.1 and 40:12.8.
