Men’s Cross Country places third at Shacklette Invite

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College men's cross country team took home third place in the 35th annual Shacklette Invitational on Sunday afternoon on the campus of Saint Anselm in Manchester, N.H.

The Hawks were led by a sixth place finish from sophomore Nate Shannon (Plymouth, Mass.) who finished the 8K course in 28:45. Freshman Anthony Galasso (Reading, Mass.) posted a time of 29:34 to finish 11th in his first collegiate race, while Adam Pakalnis (Waterbury, Conn.) finished 16th with a time of 30:21.

Sophomore Timothy Stap (Windham, N.H.) finished 26th with a time of 32:21, and Brian Stankiewicz (Merrimack, N.H.) rounded out the top-30 with a time of 33:18.

Bentley University grabbed first place, placing three runners in the top-5 including Tim Bolick, who won his first collegiate race in 27:09. Saint Michael's finished second and was led by second place finisher James Henry with a time of 27:42. The New Hampshire Technical Institute rounded out the race in fourth place and were led by an 18th place (30:50) finish from Dylan Tuttle.

The Hawks return to action next Saturday when they travel to Smith College for their Invitational starting at 12 p.m.
