NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's cross country team placed seventh at the Smith College Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Northampton, Mass.
Nate Shannon (Plymouth, Mass.) was the top finisher for the Hawks for the second-straight race, finishing seventh overall with a time of 28:45.14.
Sophomore Timothy Stap (Windham, N.H.) posted a time of 34:19.15 to finish 67th, while Joe Moran (Manchester, N.H.) finished the 8K race with a time of 35:38.37 to come in 73rd place. Alex Merloni (Ashland, Mass.) and Joe Capuzzo (Orange, Mass.) also ran the course for the Hawks, registering times of 36:39.26 and 38:43.65, respectively.
The Hawks return to action on Friday, Sept. 16 when they travel to the University of Notre Dame for the National Catholic Invitational starting at 3:30 p.m.
