Men's cross country competes at NEICAAA Championship

BOSTON – The Saint Anselm College men's cross country team competed at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Boston's Franklin Park.


Saint Anselm placed 26th with a team score of 751.

Freshman Cole Corcoran (Braintree, Mass.) led the Hawks with a time of 27:15, placing 119th in the field of 171. He was followed by junior Anthony Galasso (Reading, Mass.) and sophomore Jordan Cook (Biddeford, Maine) with times of 28:15.2 and 28:28.2, respectively.

Sophomore Ben Sweesy (Merrimack, N.H.) registered a time of 29:05 and seniors Adam Pakalnis (Waterbury, Conn.) and Nathaniel Shannon (Plymouth, Mass.) rounded out the Hawks representation with times of 29:46.7 and 31:03.7.

Four Hawks also competed in the sub-varsity race, including sophomore Tim Holmes (Shirley, Mass.), senior Timothy Stap (Windham, N.H.), freshman Patrick Hodgson (Falmouth, Mass.) and sophomore Adam Scott (Groton, Mass.).

The Hawks will compete at the Bruce Kirsh Cup on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 12:45 p.m. The meet will be conducted at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds.
