In game one, Hennequin hurled her third shutout of the seven, scattering seven Stonehill (11-30, 9-15 NE10) hits while allowing just one walk and striking six on her Senior Day for Saint Anselm (16-14, 15-7 NE10). The win was the senior's third in a row to move her to 12-5 on the season.
Amanda Bickford had a pair of hits for the Hawks, while Megan Murrell, Shannon McLaughlin and Madison Borrelli all had a base hit and an RBI. Saint Anselm mustered eight hits off Stonehill starter Jennifer Mayette, who went the distance allowing three runs (two earned) with two walks and one strikeout. Taylor Lester and Lianna Jordan each were 2-for-3 in the top-two spots in the lineup for the Skyhawks.
Borrelli gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning with a timely two-out single to right to score Erin Thompson, who had walked to start the inning and moved to third on a pair of groundouts. Stonehill threatened to get the run right back in the next half inning with runners on first and second with one out, but Bickford made a running catch and doubled Lester off second to end the threat.
Another clutch two-out hit, this time from Murrell, extended the Hawks' lead to 2-0 in the fifth. Maggie Murphy started the two-out rally with an infield single, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on a liner to center off the bat of Murrell.
Saint Anselm tacked on a third run in the sixth. Singles by Thompson and Shannon Colson, along with a stolen base by Colson, left runners at second and third with nobody out for McLaughlin. The junior did her job, plating Thompson with a ground ball to short.

After Hennequin's seven-hit shutout in the opener, Perry delivered a six-hitter in game two as Saint Anselm finished off the three-game sweep with a 2-0 victory. Perry struck out seven and did not walk a batter in her third shutout of the season.
Cassandra Squeri allowed just four hits in a complete game for Stonehill, but run-scoring singles from Thompson and Bickford in the fourth and fifth gave Perry all the offense she needed. Erin Brayden had three of the Skyhawks' four hits off Perry.
Squeri and Perry put zeroes on the board until the bottom of the fourth, when the Hawks took the lead. Michaela Kane led off the frame with a triple to right but was still at third with two outs for Thompson, who hit a single off the glove of the first baseman to open the scoring.
The Skyhawks threatened for the first time in the top of the fifth when Perry got Lester to line out to first with runners on the corners and one out. Later in the inning, Stonehill had runners on second and third with two outs before Michaela Kane knocked down a hard-hit grounder at third and threw across the diamond to preserve the shutout.
In the home half of the fifth, Bickford dropped a two-out single into left-center field to score pinch-runner Karoline Leavitt from second and give the Hawks an insurance run. With hits in both games of the twin bill, Bickford now sports a 13-game hitting streak and is fourth in the NE10 in batting average (.422).
Saint Anselm concludes its regular-season slate with a doubleheader against Assumption on Sunday, April 30 at South Athletic Fields starting at noon. One win will see the Hawks clinch the No. 2 seed in the Northeast Division for the NE10 Championship.
