MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Megan Murrell and sophomore Morgan Perry both took home Northeast-10 Conference weekly awards on Monday, as Murrell was named the conference's Player of the Week and Perry earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
Perry collected her second Pitcher of the Week accolade this season after previously earning the honor on Feb. 19, while Murrell gathered her first NE10 weekly award. The duo is the second set of teammates to be named Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, this season.
Murrell and Perry are the fifth set of Saint Anselm teammates to secure Player and Pitcher of the Week honors in the same week and the first since Amanda Bickford and Sam Hennequin on Feb. 29, 2016.

Murrell posted a slash line of .800/.818/1.800 as Saint Anselm went 3-0 in NE10 play last week. The senior was 8-for-10 at the plate, homering in all three games to give her home runs in four-straight contests. Murrell was 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 5-4 win over Merrimack on Monday, before going 5-for-6 with a double, two home runs, three RBI and a walk in a sweep of AIC on Sunday.
The Scarborough, Maine product's 33 RBI and .735 slugging percentage this season lead the NE10. She also ranks tied for second in home runs (7) and doubles (8), second in on-base percentage (.504) and third in batting average (.418).
In 135 career games, Murrell is hitting .329 with a .389 on-base percentage and .539 slugging percentage. Her 17 career home runs are tied for fifth-most in program history, while her 88 RBI are sixth-best at Saint Anselm. Murrell also ranks tied for third in program history in doubles (36) and sixth in total bases (229).
Perry did not allow a run and earned wins in both of her appearances for Saint Anselm last week, including throwing a one-hit shutout in game one against AIC on Sunday. The sophomore faced the minimum of 21 batters, retiring the final 16 hitters after an infield single in the top of the second that was followed by a 1-6-3 double play. Perry struck out eight in the one-hitter after picking up the victory by working the seventh inning of the 5-4 walk-off win over Merrimack on Monday.
In her sophomore season, Perry is 12-3 with a 1.99 ERA and has started 15 of her 16 appearances. Perry's 12 wins are tied for second-most in the NE10 and she also ranks in the conference's top five in strikeouts (third, 90), strikeouts per seven innings (fourth, 7.78) and ERA (fifth, 1.99).
The Bethany, Conn. product has started 30 of her 36 career appearances in the circle, going 17-13 with a 2.91 ERA. She has struck out 140 batters in 180.1 innings of work with 17 complete games to her credit.
Saint Anselm is in action this afternoon, Monday, Apr. 9, with a doubleheader at No. 23 Southern New Hampshire University starting at 3 p.m.
