Crusaders Skate By Women's Ice Hockey, 3-2

WORCESTER, Mass. - Jacqueline Bouchie (Belmont, Mass.) scored a power play goal at 11:54 of the second period to tie the game, but a third period goal by Rebecca Fleming led the College of the Holy Cross to a 3-2 victory Saturday afternoon at the Hart Center.  With the victory, Holy Cross remains undefeated on the season, boasting a 4-0-0 overall record alongside a 3-0-0 ECAC Women's East record.  The Hawks fall to 3-2-0 overall and to 2-2-0 within conference play.

Aly Zappen (Huntington Beach, Calif.) scored her second goal of the season only 1:40 into the first period, collecting a Tiffany Herron pass and placing Saint Anselm on the scoresheet first on the afternoon.  Bouchie added a tally near the mid-point off of a Molly Corl (Georgetown, Mass.) feed to knot the game at two apiece, but that would conclude the Hawks scoring on the afternoon.

Fleming scored at 14:04 of the third period off of a feed from Jessica Frescott to lift the Crusaders to the 3-2 victory.  Chelsea Monahan and Stacey Hochkins added tallies of their own earlier in the contest as well to bolster the offense for Holy Cross.

Goaltender Amy Zappen (Huntington Beach, Calif.) drew the loss in the game, halting 16-of-19 shots on net.  Carly Dominick-Sobol posted a complete-game victory, halting 24-of-26 shots on goal and improving her record to 2-0-0 on the year.

Saint Anselm was 1-for-4 on the power play.  Holy Cross was 0-for-5 with the extra skater.
