MANCHESTER, N.H. – Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey senior forward Caley Mueller (Littleton, Colo.) was selected as the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) Player of the Week, as announced on Tuesday morning.
Mueller helped the Hawks go 2-0-0 this past weekend with a sweep of Saint Michael's College on the road, registering four points on three goals and an assist.
During a 5-0 victory on Friday, she assisted Saint Anselm's second goal of the game with just under seven minutes elapsed in the first period. In Saturday's win, Mueller picked up her first-career hat trick. Her first tally came with just 1:21 elapsed in the game. Her second goal came at 4:01 of the second on the power play that proved to be the game-winner. She added one more with 10:13 left in the third period to make it 4-1.
On the year, Mueller is one of three student-athletes on the team with 12 points and six goals. She is also in a four-way tie with six assists on the squad. She is one point, goal, and assist shy of her career high in all three statistical categories in a single season. In her career, she has 19 goals and 24 assists for 43 points (19-24=43) in 90 games.
Mueller and the rest of the Hawks women's ice hockey team returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 28 in Williamstown, Mass. to face Williams College at 7 p.m.
