MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's skiing team landed three individuals on the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference (ECSC) All-MacConnell Division Team and also received the division's Team Sportsmanship Award, as announced earlier this week.
Seniors Taylor Cudhea and Leika Scott, as well as sophomore Katherine Quinn, earned spots on the All-MacConnell Division Team after finishing in the top-15 of the division's regular season standings. In addition to the women receiving the Team Sportsmanship Award for the second-straight year, Cudhea and fellow senior Alex Conrad represented the Hawks on the respective All-Sportsmanship Teams.
Cudhea was Saint Anselm's top finisher in the individual standings by finishing 13th with 157 points. She recorded eight top-15 finishes in 10 races and placed no worse than 21st in any race. The All-MacConnell Division award was the first of the senior's career.
Scott was named to the All-MacConnell Division team for the second time, previously doing so in 2015. In her senior season, Scott posted five top-15 performances, including a sixth-place finish in the slalom at Pat's Peak on Jan. 20, the best finish by a Hawk this season. She finished 14th in the standings with 155 points.
Quinn was an All-MacConnell Division selection for the first time after finishing in the top-15 seven times in a consistent sophomore season. For the season, Quinn was 15th in the division with 126 points. Competing in all 10 races, she placed no lower than 26th in any of the 10.
The trio helped the Hawks qualify for the USCSA Eastern Regional Championships for the first time since 2015 with a fourth-place finish in the MacConnell Division. The men's team also secured a spot at regionals, which will be held at West Mountain in Queensbury, N.Y. on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24-25.
