Women’s Tennis Blanked by Crosstown Rival So. New Hampshire, 9-0

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team was handed a 9-0 loss by Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday afternoon at the Saint Anselm Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Hawks dip to 3-4 on the Season and in Northeast-10 play, while the Penmen better their record to 3-1, 3-1 NE-10.

Freshman Jess Perkins (Shrewsbury, Mass.) saw her four-match win streak at No. 1 singles snapped as she fell to Diana Vamvakitis in three sets. Perkins opened with a 6-4 victory before losing, 6-3, and then dropping a 10-7 tiebreaker.

The Hawks return to action Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. when they travel to take on the College of Saint Rose.
