Hodas and Petromelis earn wins in women's tennis loss to SNHU

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The senior tandem of Kayla Hodas (Peabody, Mass.) and Eleni Petromelis (Peabody, Mass.) posted victories at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, for Saint Anselm, but cross-town rival Southern New Hampshire University proved to be too much as the Penmen recorded the 5-2 Northeast-10 victory on Wednesday afternoon.

Box Score

Hodas and Petromelis posted the 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles but the Penmen posted wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take the early 1-0 lead.

In singles action the Penmen used victories at No. 1 through No. 4 singles to build a lead the Hawks could not overcome, despite the victories from Hodas and Petromelis.

The Hawks (2-6, 1-4 NE10) return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29 at home against Stonehill College. Action is set for a 1 p.m. start.
