MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team had a pair of student-athletes receive All-Conference accolates from the Northeast-10 Conference on Thursday. Senior Kayla Hodas (Peabody, Mass.) earned Second Team All-Conference honors at No. 6 singles while freshman Emily Jacy (Glastonbury, Conn.) was named to the All-Rookie Team.
Hodas went 8-6 overall during the fall season, registering a 5-4 mark at No. 6 singles. Near the midpoint of the season, Hodas won four-straight matches, three of which came at No. 6 singles. Included in that stretch was a victory against Stonehill, ranked No. 42 nationally at the time.
In her career, Hodas has five wins at No. 6 singles which has cracked the top-10 all-time list in program history.
Jacy went 5-10 during her rookie season and posted a 4-7 conference record. She went 2-2 at No. 3 singles and 3-6 at the fourth singles flight. Her first-career win came against Plymouth St. on Sept. 10, defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-2. She picked up her first conference win on Sept. 21 at Saint Michael's, posting a three-set victory. Jacy won two of her final three matches of the season against American International and Bentley.
