Women's tennis has setback against Cedarville on Friday

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip with a 7-0 setback to Cedarville University on Friday morning.

The Hawks slip to 6-13 on the year while the Yellow Jackets improve to 8-3. Saint Anselm returns to action on Sunday, Mar. 17 at 10 a.m. when the Hawks host Robert Wesleyan College.

Senior Kayla Hodas (Peabody, Mass.) battled in a two-set loss at No. 5 singles against Halie Hardwick. After losing 6-0 in the opening set, Hodas won four games in the second set. At No. 3 singles, freshman Emily Jacy (Glastonbury, Conn.) lost in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 to Rosie Thompson.

Hodas and senior Tess Malerbi (Scituate, Mass.) played to a tough 6-4 result against Hardwick and Janelle English.
