Women’s volleyball predicted to finish sixth in NE10

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College volleyball program was voted to finish sixth in the Northeast-10 Conference, according to the league's Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday.

The Hawks were projected to finish sixth out of 15 programs following a poll of the conference's head coaches. New Haven, the reigning NE10 and East Region champions, was predicted to top the league's standings once again. American International and Southern Connecticut State rounded out the top three.

In 2017, the Hawks recorded their first-ever win in the Northeast-10 Conference Volleyball Championship and made its first appearance in the NCAA Division II East Region Championship. Recording 16 wins in 29 matches one year ago, the Hawks will play eight teams that won at least 20 matches last season in 2018.

The Hawks were slated to finish sixth in last season's poll and ended up tied for fifth place with four other programs.

The NE10 season will culminate with the conference championship, beginning with the NE10 Quarterfinals on Tues., November 6. The semifinals will be played on Friday, Nov. 9, while the championship match will take place the next day, Sat., Nov. 10.
