WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's cross country team traveled to Williams College for the Purple Valley Classic held at Mount Greylock High School on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks placed 16th out of 23 teams at the meet.
Shannon Conley (South Portland, Maine) was the top finisher for the Hawks in the 6K race, posting a time of 23:19.5 to place 39th overall. Liberty Gendron (Manchester, N.H.) had the next best finish for the Hawks, coming in with a time of 25:43.5 to place 163rd.
Heather Evans (York, Maine) posted a time of 25:43.5 to finish 173rd, while Allison Taylor (Chelmsford, Mass.) finished 199th with a time of 26:20.2. Rounding out the top finishes were Maquila Dimastrantonio (Shapleigh, Maine) and Emily Meinertz (Smithfield, R.I.) with times of 26:32.4 and 27:19.0, respectively.
The Hawks return to action on Oct. 8 when they travel to the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University starting at 12 p.m.
